Personal data processed by Cirlinq

We process your personal data because you make use of our services and/or because you provide these data to us yourself. We may process the following personal data, depending on the product or service you purchase:

  • Site visit & responding to the blog
    Your browser-fingerprint is logged in order to save your cookie preferences. If you respond to an article, we additionally ask for your email address and name and store your IP address so we can moderate responses and block spammers.
  • Download whitepaper, e-book or free webinar
    The requested data in the download form will be used after your active consent for sending the whitepaper, e-book or webinar. We can contact you for this. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we use the data purely for analysis purposes in our Google Suite back office.
Special and/or sensitive personal data processed by Cirlinq

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect information about website visitors under the age of 16 unless they have parental or guardian permission. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16 years of age. We encourage parents to be involved in their children’s online activities in order to prevent the collection of information about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without that consent, please contact us at and we will delete that information.

For what purpose does Cirlinq process personal data?

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To process your registration and/or payment after you have purchased a product or service.
  • To be able to call or email you if this is necessary to perform the service you have purchased.
  • To deliver goods and services that you have purchased.
  • To inform you about (changes to) our services and products that you have previously purchased. You can always unsubscribe via a link in the mail.
  • To send the newsletters and mailings you have subscribed to.
  • To create an account for you after you have registered.
Automated decision making

Cirlinq does not make decisions based on automated processing (algorithms) that could have adverse consequences for you.

How long Cirlinq keeps personal data

After you have purchased a product or service from Cirlinq you will stay in our customer base for a maximum of one year so that we can inform you about changes in our products or services. Of course you can unsubscribe here. The retention period of data depends on the purpose for which we received or collected the data and on legal obligations to retain data. For this reason, for example, we retain permission for data processing for at least seven years. The period of seven years corresponds to the period during which we are obliged to keep our records for the Tax and Customs Administration. Share personal data by Cirlinq with third parties

We will share your personal information with business partners and third parties if this is necessary for the performance of the agreement and to comply with any legal obligation. In some other cases we also provide your personal data to third parties, but we only do so with your explicit consent.

With companies that process your data on our behalf, we enter into a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and to protect the confidentiality of your data. We remain responsible for such processing.

  • Google Analytics
    Via our website is placed a cookie by the U.S. company Google, as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to track and get reports on how visitors use the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or if third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We have no influence on this. We have not allowed Google to use the obtained analytics information for other Google services.

The information that Google collects is anonymized as much as possible. Your IP address is explicitly not given. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google adheres to the Privacy Shield principles and is affiliated with the Privacy Shield program of the U.S. Department of Commerce. This means that there is an adequate level of protection for the processing of any personal data.

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Cirlinq and you have the right to data transfer. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal information we have about you in a computer file to you or another organization named by you.

To make sure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we will ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity along with the request. Make in this copy your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Burgerservicenummer (BSN) black. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but at the latest within four weeks.

How Cirlinq secures personal data

We take the protection of your information seriously and take appropriate measures to prevent its misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unauthorized disclosure and unauthorized alteration. We have taken the following measures to protect your personal information:

  • Servers and devices of our employees are equipped with up-to-date security software, such as a virus scanner and firewall.
  • We only send your data via secure internet connections (TLS, formerly SSL) . You can see this by the address bar ‘https’ and the padlock.
  • Access to personal information from mobile devices is restricted and actively monitored.
  • All Cirlinq employees who have access to personal data are trained to handle your data with care.
  • DKIM and SPF are internet standards that we use to prevent you from receiving e-mails on our behalf that contain viruses, are spam or are intended to obtain personal (login) data.
Cookies, or similar techniques, used by Cirlinq

A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. We use 4 types of cookies.

First the necessary cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly. In addition, there are statistics cookies, which collect anonymized data about the use of our website and help us to optimize the site. Advertisers post promotional content or vacancies on Cirlinq. Sometimes a web beacon or pixel is placed in such content that tracks how often the promotional content has been viewed. We assure you that these pixels never collect privacy-sensitive information. Preferred cookies will help you remember your preferred settings (such as preferred language). Finally, we place marketing cookies that track your browsing behavior. Cookies from embedded content from social media sites such as YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest also fall under the latter category.

Cookies are placed to gain insight into visitor behavior and to improve the user experience. We have set the Google Analytics cookies privacy friendly. That means that we:

  • have concluded a processor agreement with Google;
  • only give Google masked IP addresses;
  • do not share any further data with Google.

You can also unsubscribe from cookies from all websites by configuring your Internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari). In addition, you can delete all information previously stored in your browser settings.
